My Story

About me

I am an overseas trained and experienced female clinical psychologist, currently working as a provisional psychologist  at Exclusive Wellbeing in Parramatta, and my life purpose is to support people in seeking a more authentic, free and meaningful existence.

Why choose me

I understand the purpose of the therapeutic process is to facilitate pathways for self-knowledge and an encounter with our true self in search of developing potential, health, flourishing and quality of life. I believe that my main strengths as a psychotherapist are my warm and welcoming posture, a true and honest presence, an attitude of deep acceptance, respect and interest in all forms of human manifestations.

I strongly believe that psychoeducation is also an important tool for an effective treatment. It consists in: 1. Empower the client by giving reliable and scientific information about their condition to build together relevant problem-solving skills. 2. Consider the client active and responsible for their treatment as well 3. Help to effectively manage and overcome possible stigma attached to their diagnosis.

What makes me different?

I strongly focus on the relationship with clients as one of the main tools of psychological treatment and I am able to interact with strong and deep authenticity, without masks and being able to show my strengths and vulnerabilities as a human being. In these past 20 years of clinical experience I’ve been told that this my unique and inspirational characteristics that make people feel very comfortable to share their intimacy with me.

Therapy approaches/modalities used in my work

My main therapeutic approaches are Humanistic, Existentialism, Psychoanalytical/psychodynamic (classic and contemporary authors), Systemic and Positive Psychology. From these perspectives the aim of the therapeutic process is to reveal the nucleus of health, singularity and human potential rather than disease. These approaches count on the therapist’s unconditional positive acceptance, empathy and congruence. The social historical approach is my other important therapeutic pillar, in which strong critical thinking seeks to understand the relationships between human action, on the one hand, and the cultural, political, institutional and historical situations where which it takes place, on the other.
