- Our Team
My name is Caitlin Wright, and I am a female provisional psychologist who is currently completing my Masters of Clinical Psychology at the Australian College of Applied Psychology. I am currently completing my final clinical placement with Exclusive Wellbeing in Parramatta. I have experience in a range of settings, including non-government organisations and university clinics. I have experience working with individuals from all age ranges and their families.
Why choose me
I endeavour to create an accepting, warm, and non-judgemental environment, where clients can feel safe to explore their recovery. I enjoy connecting with individuals to foster a strong therapeutic alliance, and to create more meaningful lives and relationships.
I work with adolescents and adults from diverse backgrounds and have experience with a range of presentations, including anxiety disorders, mood disorders, personality disorders, and complex trauma. I have worked with individuals struggling with emotion regulation, distress tolerance, and other underlying issues, as well as neurodivergent clients. I provide compassionate and reflective care, in a culturally sensitive way.
Therapy approaches/modalities used in my work
I use a variety of approaches to create an individualised treatment plan that is tailored to suit the needs of person attending therapy. Throughout my training, I have experience delivering evidence-based treatment modalities including Cognitive Behavioural Therapy (CBT), Acceptance and Commitment therapy (ACT), and Dialectical Behavioural Therapy (DBT).
I am currently in my final year of the Master of Psychology (Clinical) at Australian College of Applied Psychology. I have a Bachelor of Social Science Psychology from Western Sydney University, and a Bachelor of Psychology (Honours) from Bond University. I currently hold Provisional Registration through AHPRA and plan to pursue the Clinical Psychology registrar program in the future.
I am a Provisionally Registered Psychologist with AHPRA and a member of the Australian Psychological Society (APS).
Areas of my specific interests
I have a strong interest in working with people struggling with mental health difficulties (such as depression, anxiety, phobias, bipolar disorder, personality disorders), survivors of trauma, and struggles with emotion regulation.
My services are currently privately funded and are not rebated under Medicare or Private Health funds.
