Why choose yoga

Yoga is a practice that can help you strengthen the connection between your mind and body. The benefits of this connection are nervous-system regulation, a sense of being grounded, living in the present and physical, emotional, and psychological safety. Trauma-aware yoga is a guided practice that places you in control of your experience. No experience is necessary, and you can learn 1:1 or in a small group.

About me

I am a female yoga teacher with 14 years of experience teaching one-on-one, in public classes, corporate settings and in treatment centres. I came to yoga when I was pregnant with my first child, and it has been pivotal in my healing and management of PTSD, perinatal and postnatal OCD, anxiety, and depression. I love people, I love personal development and I love empowering others on their own healing journey. When I’m not teaching or coaching, I’m learning new things, planning a holiday and enjoying life with my husband, our five kids, family, friends and pets. I am currently offering one-to-one, small group and corporate programs from Exclusive Wellbeing in Parramatta.

I believe that the body is the doorway into strengthening the mind, healing the heart, and awakening our spirit. I am passionate about helping people become more at ease within their bodies, more connected to their centre and capable of ‘being with’ whatever arises. My unique combination of personal and professional experiences have made me incredibly open-minded, compassionate, and curious about people, their life stories, hopes and dreams. I can connect to people from all walks of life, and I believe that we all have exactly what we need within us to overcome our past, embrace what is present and create our desired future.

Modalities used in my work

My approach to yoga, meditation and coaching is based on somatic awareness practices, Eastern philosophies, and spiritual psychology. The result is an integrated, mindful experience of body, heart, mind, and soul.

My credentials

My education background includes degrees in Journalism (2002) and Education (2005), both from the University of Western Sydney. I have over 500 hours of formal yoga teacher training including an Advanced Diploma in Yoga Studies from the Yoga Institute in Sydney. I am certified to teach Insight Meditation, Prenatal and Postnatal Yoga, Trauma Aware Yoga and Yoga for 12-Step Recovery (Y12SR). I am also a qualified Life & Relationship Coach.

Areas of my specific interests

My specific areas of interests include working with women at all stages of life, postnatal depression, anxiety disorders, family systems, co-dependency, PTSD, relationships, men and women in addiction recovery and offender rehabilitation.


Yoga is currently no longer funded under Private Health Funds, but may be covered by Personal Injury Insurances (e.g. CTP, WorkCover) or as part of wellness or Employee Assistance Programs. Treatment is privately funded without Medicare subsidy. One to one Yoga fees are $135, for the small group Yoga classes $55 per class (block of 6 classes).


My current availability for 1:1 yoga at Exclusive Wellbeing in Parramatta is Wednesdays 9am - 1.30pm.
